JOIN THE HELP DIFFERENT MOVEMENT

How often do you hear about underserved youth helping others? Nonprofit programs are designed to help youth, but when do underserved youth get to design programs to help others?

This year, TM youth in grades 4-8 went out into their community and helped 1,300 people!

Some of the ways TM youth helped others included teaching soccer and football classes, teaching engineering, art and video game design classes, feeding and giving hygiene kits to the unhoused, training youth and parents how to address homelessness, cleaning parks, and performing plays for preschoolers.

By helping others, TM youth developed confidence, open-mindedness, and came to see themselves as community leaders. What’s

so impressive is that all TM youth had only been helped by nonprofit programs before starting TM. Now, they are helping others!

TM asked over 300 youth in East Palo Alto this year if they had created projects or programs to help others. 100% had not.

Almost without exception, underserved youth don’t know what it feels like to be the helpers. Only the helped. We are changing this by empowering underserved youth to do the helping. We call this the HELP DIFFERENT movement.

This holiday season we are asking everyone we know to help us grow the HELP DIFFERENT movement in 2022. Donating to Thiebaut Method will help us increase the number of youth who help others and the number of people helped.

In 2022, our goal is to empower 500 youth to help more than 5,000 people.

We plan to achieve our goal through our Social Good Project (SGP) program. The SGP program empowers youth to design social good projects, find days of service, and sign up as volunteers throughout their community.

In 2021, our youth partnered with more than 100 people and organizations to help others. In 2022, we project they will help others in partnership with 300+ people and organizations.

Our goal is to raise $30,000. If 120 people donate $250 dollars each we will reach our goal. We are asking you to make a $250 donation Individually or as a team (or a larger gift) and to ask your family and friends to do the same.

We have created this fundraiser page where you can donate directly, or start your own fundraiser. If you start your

own fundraiser you can enlist others to help you donate $250.

If we come together to support underserved youth in helping others, we can inspire communities to lift themselves up and build the next generation of community leaders.

Thank you for your support.
