History
Thiebaut Method (formerly, 10 Books A Home) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2009 in East Palo Alto, CA that teaches low-income middle school students to do social good in their communities through Social Good Projects (SGPs).
TM was founded by Paul Thiebaut III, who is on a mission to make the world a better place by empowering low-income students to make their communities a better place. Since he was 13 he has lived in one of the highest poverty communities, East Palo Alto, where TM was started.
TM has pivoted many times in the 11 years it has existed. Many have wondered why TM has continued to pivot. The answer is simple: until arriving at SGPs, TM was in search of the right blend of passion-based learning and real world experience that would ignite a student's full potential.
It takes time to find solutions to problems that are unaddressed. By empowering low-income students to make their communities a better place, TM can make the world a better place. It's that simple. Yet, arriving at simplicity is a complex process.
Please join us in "making a dent in the universe" by supporting our students monetarily, with your time, or simply spreading the word about what we do.
